ABOUT
Yours, Mime, and Ours is a short animated film that had been in the works since Fall of 2012. The film was finished April of 2014. As a group of 11 students, we completed all of the work that was required in the production process of creating an animated film. This includes: story development, storyboarding, style, character design, modeling, UVing, rigging, texturing, lighting, compositing, and editing.
Position: Art Director
and Generalist
In the project, I was assigned the position as the Art Director for the film. It was my duty to make sure that everyone adhered to the style of the film. The models and textures have to be approved by me first before moving on. As Art Director I was also in charge of putting together a style guide that the team can reference at any time to make sure that they are abiding by the direction that we are going for. In the slideshow to the left, you can look at a detailed image I created for the color palettes and you can also look through the pages of the style guide that I put together for the film. The style guide includes tips on lighting, modeling, environment (exterior and interior), color palettes, and also effects design.
This object is a dining room center piece. The popcorn flowers are inspired by baby's breath flowers.
